Abstract
This Regulation provides all necessary standards and requirements related to the transport of live vertebrate animals, including veterinary inspections and checks and other security and safety measures.
This Regulation shall apply without prejudice to the implementation of other veterinary regulations.
This Regulation implements the basic rules of the animal transport and related activities that are made in order to prohibit the transport of animals in a manner that could cause injury or unnecessary suffering to animals.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
