Types of veterinary visits, with regard to their purpose, scope and frequency, are divided into: veterinary visit for the purpose of moving animals within the territory of the Republic of Croatia; veterinary visit in the restriction zone for the purpose of relocation; and veterinary visit according to risk assessment. Veterinary visits are conducted at registered facilities where animals are kept (with exceptions for pasture and restricted zones, see article 4-paragraphs 3 and 4). Veterinary visits are carried out by authorized veterinarians of locally competent authorized veterinary organizations, in the area of local self-government units where they have been granted public authority to perform work, in accordance with the regulation regulating veterinary activity.
