Abstract
This Regulation prescribes zootechnical and genealogical conditions for imports from foreign countries of breeding animals, their semen, ova and embryos, and is related to cattle, pigs, sheep and goats, equidae and other animals, without prejudice to the provisions regarding their health.
This Regulation also adopts the provisions part of the Council Directive 94/28/EC laying down the principles relating to the zootechnical and genealogical conditions applicable to imports from third countries of animals, their semen, ova and embryos, and amending Directive 77/504/EEC on pure-bred breeding animals of the bovine species.
