Act No. XXX of 2012 concerning Hungarian national values and hungaricums.

In implementation of the Fundamental Law of Hungary this Act has the objective of conservation and protection of Hungarian national values and hungaricums, among which there are protected natural values and excellent national products, as well as agricultural products and food falling under EU regulation concerning the protection of origin. Part II of the Act contains rules on identification and classification of national values. Part III provides in detail for hungaricums, such as for the establishment of the Hungaricum Committee which is the evaluation organ for the purposes of this Act and for the hungaricum certification mark.
