Abstract
This Law declares that the Parliament: is committed to strengthening the economic role of families; also considering the importance that the backbone of agricultural production is determined by the form of production based on family farms; expresses the conviction that the production activity carried out in a framework spanning generations is capable of lasting to ensure the sustaining power and growth of the countryside; in the long term, it wishes to ensure the preservation of the diversity of agriculture and the strengthening of its adaptability. The purpose of this Law is to achieve a common agricultural and forestry activities carried out for their prosperity, such as the business forms of family farming and their operation. This Law defines necessary rules: a) for the activity, registration, cancellation and control of primary agricultural producers; b) for the establishment, registration, operation, rights and obligations of the members of the family farm of primary producers, including related family farm status termination and control; c) for the establishment, registration, operation, rights and obligations of the family agricultural company, its termination and inspection. The text is divided into thematic Chapters and a total of 35 articles. Titles of Chapters are as follows: I. General provisions; II. Original agricultural producers; III. Original producer family farms; IV. Registry of producers; V. Family farm community; VI. Final provisions. VII. Amending provisions (full list of all national legislation that is modified by this Law).
A primary agricultural producer is a natural person who has reached the age of 16 and is included in the register of primary agricultural producers as a person who is engaged in primary production activities on his own farm. The primary agricultural producer carries out his activities as a primary producer independently or as a member of the family farm of primary producer cooperative. An agricultural primary producer may not engage in sole proprietorship activities with regard to primary producer activities. The Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture, Food Economy and Rural Development is in charge with related administrative and legal tasks as regards the work of family farms present on the national territory. Deriving agricultural administrative body controls the primary producer's activities, the information provided by the primary agricultural producer and the authenticity of registered data and declarations, as well as the products produced during primary producer activities, among legality status of product sale, and the legality of its sale as a primary producer product. The agricultural administrative body in case of finding that the activity is not continued legally-all cases considering the circumstances, and in particular the scope and weight of the harm to the interests of affected parties, may impose a fine or order that a product marketed by a primary agricultural producer, or goods sold as a primary agricultural producer has to be removed, destroyed, at the expense of the involved agricultural producer, and may also decided that that particular agricultural producer will be subject to a prohibition from activity for a period of up to five years.

Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force on 1 January 2021; paragraph 8 of article 19 will expire on 1 July 2021; paragraph 9 of article 19 shall expire on 31 December 2022.
