Decree No. 10 of 2000 of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Water Affairs on the designation of organizations for the examination, control and certification of compliance with technical requisites of vessels and floating machines.

Only organizations authorized by the minister of environmental protection and water affairs may examine, control and certify the compliance with technical requisites of vessels and floating machines. Classification of vessels, which are subject to classification according to legal rules, is valid as certification of compliance. Classification of vessels may be carried out only by companies which are authorized according to the provisions of this Decree. Applications for authorization must be presented to the commission established in the Ministry. The minister makes his decision taking into account the proposal of the commission. Detailed rules on the commission, on the content of applications for authorization and on the control of the continuous conformity of authorized organizations to the necessary requisites are set out as well.
