Abstract
This Decree applies to floating vessels subject to registration and being in service or standing on inland waterways, which are registered in Hungary or are being registered in a Hungarian register. Provisions of this Decree regarding the suitability and adequacy of vessels applis also to vessels not falling under the previous provision but plying or standing in Hungarian territory, if no international agreement states differently. The Hungarian navigation authority accepts the certificate of good running order of foreign vessels plying Hungarian waters if the certificate is valid for the zone in question, if the certificate is issued by a Danubian state that stipulated an agreement with Hungary on mutual acceptance of vessel certificates, or if the certificate is issued in conformity with the Rhenish Vessels Survey Regulation. The Annex of this Decree contains the Survey Regulation of ships and floating vessels. The Survey Regulation is divided into four parts and 24 chapters regarding especially the construction, furnishing and equipment of vessels, and rules regarding the crew.
