Abstract
The National Institute for Agricultural Quality Control, using the subsidies granted by the Ministry of Agriculture, purchases male animals and materials for breeding purposes, in accordance with the requisites of articles 3, 4, 5 and 9 of the Law on breeding animals, and articles 34 and 35 of the Law regarding breeding materials, and the requisites of other related regulations. Proposals regarding purchase and distribution may be made by recognized breeding organizations. Conditions of purchase of male animals and breeding material are laid out in articles 4 and 5. A register of state-owned male animals and breeding material is kept by the Institute. Male animals should be inspected annually by the breeding organization under article 4 and the inspection should be recorded and reported to the Institute, including an opinion and proposal regarding the further utilization of the animals (art. 7). Transfer and sorting out of male animals are regulated in article 8. Sorting out of breeding materials is decided by the Institute and sorted out materials should be neutralized (art. 9). The keeper of the animal has the duty to report the death or emergency slaughter of male animals to the Institute (art. 11). Fees and costs are provided for in article 12.
