Joint Decree No. 9 of 2002 of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and of the Ministry of Transport and Water Affairs regarding the limit values of used and waste water discharge and their application.

This Decree applies to: natural and legal persons, as well as to entities without legal personality which are entitled to rights on surface waters or are subject to obligations or whom establishment or product or activity pollute or may cause the pollution of waters; to surface waters and to their burdening, endangering and pollution. This Decree contains general rules on application of standards and special rules regarding the determination of limit values in case of direct and indirect discharge of waste waters in surface waters. The Annexes to this Decree determine water quality protection areas and relative limit values and technological standards for certain industrial activities.
