Law 100/2021 on real estate registration.

This Law, in order to facilitate the enforcement of the right to property, the freedom of enterprise and economic competition, as well as the security of the circulation of real estate in the territory of Hungary, here adopts the necessary rules and methods for registering real estate in Hungary, the system of real estate registration, the designation of the organization managing the real estate registry, the detailed rules of the real estate registry, and the rules for knowing the contents of the real estate registry.
The basic unit of the real estate register is the real estate. Real estate is a parcel of land and other independent real estate (including agricultural land parcels). The real estate register contains all real estate located in the territory of Hungary, per settlement, in the manner regulated by this law and the government decree issued on the basis of the authorization of this law. According to their location, the land parcels of the settlement can be identified as internal, external and special external units. The enclosed garden is a special outdoor unit. A gated property cannot be created from an indoor or outdoor property. All parcels of land and other independent properties have a unique identifier. The unique identifier contains the name of the settlement, the location and, within it, the topographical number. The real estate register contains the data of the real estate, the rights and facts related to the real estate that can be registered in the real estate register, as well as the data necessary for the identification of the persons registered as entitled.
