National Framework Strategy on Sustainable Development 2012-2024.

This National Framework Strategy on Sustainable Development 2012-2024 (NFSSD) is a multisectoral policy document. The overall objective of the NFSSD is to ensure the conditions of adaptability to the ever evolving social-human-economic-natural external environment and the quality improvement of the cultural adaptation required. The system of objectives regarding the four fundamental national resources(social-human-economic-natural) is developed in the NFSSD.
The NFSSD seeks to make agriculture more sustainable. Goal of the environmental resources is to increase biodiversity and renewable natural resources protection, reducing environmental impacts on people. The reasonable and considerate management with non-renewable resources is of high priority as well. Conservation of the biodiversity of the landscape and natural resources, and prevention of the depletion of ecosystem-services are all imperative. Maintaining the fertility of the soil, reducing the rate of building up of natural areas, as well as utilisation of renewable resources based on sustainable yield are of great importance. For the purpose of prevention of the degradation of biodiversity, soil fertility and ecosystem services, main tasks include: Campaigns aimed at increasing environmental awareness; activities aimed at the prevention and mitigation of environmental damage; recommendations for governmental bodies. In the field of maintaining and enhancing national resources the NFSSD is developed by families and citizens as well as businesses responsibilities, recommendations of small communities, civil organizations and religious communities, as well as in detail defines the tasks of national and local government.
The NFSSD seeks to contribute to reduce poverty. The main tasks proposed include: Employment of the members of disadvantaged groups, non-discrimination; Reduction of child poverty; Launching of special, complex programmes in excluded regions; Increasing the pool of citizens available for employment by programmes aimed at mitigating social exclusion.
In addition, the NFSSD promotes to enhance the resilience of livelihoods to disasters. A task proposed by the NFSSD is to increase resistance capability against climate change.
