Abstract
This Agreement defines maritime boundaries between Indonesia and Papua New Guinea in accordance with the principles established by the 1971 Seabed Agreement signed by these two countries. Furthermore it deals with matters such as the sharing of mineral deposits (art. 3), customary rights of traditional fishermen (art. 5), cooperation on the management, use and conservation of living resources (art. 6) and consultation with a view of coordinating policies on the protection of the marine environment and marine research (art. 7).
