Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of Papua New Guinea concerning Maritime Boundaries between the Republic of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea and cooperation on related matters, 1980.

This Agreement defines maritime boundaries between Indonesia and Papua New Guinea in accordance with the principles established by the 1971 Seabed Agreement signed by these two countries. Furthermore it deals with matters such as the sharing of mineral deposits (art. 3), customary rights of traditional fishermen (art. 5), cooperation on the management, use and conservation of living resources (art. 6) and consultation with a view of coordinating policies on the protection of the marine environment and marine research (art. 7).
