Abstract
This Decree, consisting of 38 articles divided into 11 Chapters, establishes pesticide monitoring conducted within the Indonesian territory. The objectives of the pesticide monitoring are: to protect human health and safety, nature conservation and environment preservation, to ensure the quality and effectiveness of pesticides and provide protection to their producers, distributors and users. The scope of this pesticides supervision document includes the object of supervision, requirements, procedures and dismissal of pesticide supervisor, task, authority and implementation of supervision, reporting, supervision coordination, follow up of pesticide supervision result, as well as guidance and training of pesticide. The pesticide supervision aims at: Monitoring quality and quantity of pesticide products, through quality control and quantity of technical materials, formulations, containers, packaging and pesticide labels whether produced domestically or imported; Documents of licensing and other documents, conducted through the examination of licence and other documents; Monitoring of work accidents due to production, distribution, storage, transportation, use and destruction of pesticides; Environmental impacts, by examining the validity of environmental impacts during the registration period, as well as pollution arising from the use of pesticide products; Types and doses of pesticides and commodities and target organisms in the use of pesticides, carried out by monitoring the suitability of the use of pesticides with the permitted ones; etc.
