Decree of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia no: 121/KPTS/PK.320/M/03/2023 concerning the Determination of Types of Strategic Infectious Animal Diseases.

This Ministerial Decree, implementing provisions of article 45 paragraph (1) of the Law no. 18 of 2009 concerning animal husbandry and animal health in its last amended version, provides for determining the different types of strategic infectious animal diseases, and for classifying them according to their existence and level of spread in the various areas of the country. The Decree defines the following methods and activities for controlling the spread and protecting against infectious animal diseases: implementation of biosafety and biosecurity procedures; animal immunisation and vaccination; veterinary emergency preparedness; control of animal products; implementation of early warning measures. The Decree specifies periodical evaluation of the list of infectious animal diseases, and provides for a special funding for implementing prevention measures.
