Decree of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number SK.1188/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/11/2022 Concerning Guidelines for Marking Boundaries and Making Cultivation Shares in Social Forestry Management Approval Areas.

This Ministerial Decree, implementing provisions of article 113 of the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number 7 of 2021 on Forestry Planning, Changes in Forest Area Allocation and Change of Function of Forest Areas, and the provisions of article 101 of the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number 9 of 2021 on Social Forestry Management, provides for creating guidelines for marking boundaries and making cultivation shares in social forestry management approval areas. The Guidelines aim at: realising the availability of sources of Agrarian Reform Object Land and the implementation of land redistribution; increasing community access to manage forests through forestry community, village forests, community plantation forests, customary forests; building food sovereignty based on people's agribusiness. The main objectives of this Decree are: reducing the inequality of land ownership; creating sources of prosperity and poverty reduction for improving agrarian-based community welfare; improving people's access to economic resources; increasing food security and sovereignty as well as improving and maintaining the quality of the environment.
