Decree of the Minister of Manpower Number 122 of 2024 concerning Determination of Indonesian National Work Competency Standards for Professional, Scientific and Technical Activities Categories in the Field of Fisheries Management with an Ecosystem Approach (P3E) in Inland Waters.

This Ministerial Decree, in order to implement provisions of article 31 of the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower Number 3 of 2016 concerning procedures for determining Indonesian national work competency standards, concerns the definition of national work competency standards categories for professional, scientific and technical activities, in the field of fishery management with an ecosystem approach in inland waters. The definition of national work competency standards aims at: encouraging and realising competent human resource; ensuring a sustainable use and conservation of protected fish and those included in the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). The standards are based on education and training quality improvement tools, in compliance with the measures of the I-Fish Project of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The definition of the standards covers the following topics: fish sanctuary area; ecosystem conservation; business actors and stakeholders; monitoring activities; inland waters; all the activities related to the management and utilisation of fish resources; ecosystem approach; fisheries management plan; fisheries management area for fishing, fish farming, conservation, research and fisheries development.
