Abstract
This Regulation, implementing provisions of Chapter IV of Law no. 41 of 1999 concerning Forestry, aims at providing central and local governments, local communities and business actors, with guidelines and directions with forestry strategies and policies to ensure the achievement of forestry administration objectives and thus realise optimal and sustainable forest function benefits. The Regulation concerns: sustainable forest management; biological natural resources; national forests; customary forests; forest rights; forest area; mapping and boundaries delineation; watershed; traditional knowledge; forestry planning, including the following activities: forest inventory, forest area confirmation, forest area use, preparation of forestry plans; various types of forestry plans; environmental protection measures. The Regulation defines functions of forest area, including: definition of protected areas, creation of nature reserve forest, wildlife reserves, national parks and tourism parks, hunting parks; procedures for establishing several units, concerning forest management, protection forest management, production forest management.
