Government Regulation Number 25 of 2023 concerning Mining Areas.

This Regulation, made under provisions of Law no. 4 of 2009 on Mineral and Coal Mining, concerns the preparation and determination of mining areas for mineral and coal exploration and exploitation. The Regulation defines various legal terms related to mining such as mining; mineral; coal; exploration; mining license and permit; mining contract; mining concession; mining area, specifying its types and boundaries; mining business area; State reserve area, and special mining business area; it outlines the procedures and criteria for preparing and determining the mining area, based on geological data and information, as well as national and regional interests. The Regulation concerns: preparation of Mining Area Plans; granting of utilisation of a mining area and zoning; evaluation of land; criteria and presence of specific minerals for determining an area as national reserve area; data and information concerning mining areas.
