Law of the Republic of Indonesia no. 10 of 1997 on Nuclear Power.

This Law consisting of 48 articles, divided into ten chapters, provides for the development and use of nuclear energy in various fields, in order to improve the nation's prosperity and competitiveness; and thus, concerns nuclear energy and its use, radiation, radioactive waste, nuclear minerals, nuclear installations. The Law covers the following matters: establishment of an implementing Agency for the use of nuclear energy; research and development in the sector of nuclear energy; exploration and exploitation of nuclear minerals; construction of commercial nuclear reactors; radioactive waste management; liability for nuclear damage; compensation for nuclear losses resulting from nuclear accidents; criminal provisions.
