Abstract
The Act, consisting of 98 articles divided into 14 Chapters, establishes the basic legislation on Public Health Care. It aims at developing health protection for all Indonesian people directed to achieve the highest level of health for the development and improvement of Indonesia's human resources. It establishes that the Central Government and Regional Governments are responsible for protecting public health from diseases and/or Community Health Risk Factors that have the potential to cause Public Health Emergency through the implementation of Health Quarantine. The Central Government is responsible for carrying out Health Quarantine at the entrance and in the area in an integrated manner. Health Care sector includes: sanitation, security and control of environmental sector; Restructuring, safeguarding and controlling the environmental sector, which will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the legislation; Sanitation, as an effort to prevent degradation and/or efforts to improve the quality of environmental sectors, is carried out in the form of water, air, land, food, and facilities and buildings through supervision, protection, and quality improvement.
