Abstract
This Presidential Regulation establishes the Indonesian Ocean Policy as a comprehensive framework to guide maritime governance and development. It aims to optimize the management of marine resources and reinforce Indonesia’s vision as a Global Maritime Axis. The policy consists of two main components: the National Ocean Policy Document and the Ocean Policy Action Plan, which sets priorities for a five-year period. Key objectives include sustainable utilization of marine resources, strengthening maritime security, and promoting economic growth through the blue economy. The regulation outlines institutional responsibilities, coordination mechanisms, and monitoring requirements, assigning the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs as the lead agency. It also provides for periodic review to adapt to national interests and international developments.
