Presidential Regulation no. 28 of 2023 concerning Integrated Planning for the Acceleration of Social Forestry Management.

This Regulation, in order to implement provisions of the Government Regulation no. 23 of 2021 about Forestry Management, provides for coordinating the central government, regional governments, governmental agencies and other involved parties towards the implementation of the social forestry management. The Regulation concerns: integrated forestry plan; social forestry management, as a system of sustainable forest management carried out in both private and public forest areas, in order to improve community well-being, environmental balance and socio-cultural dynamics; forest and land rehabilitation. Matters covered by the Regulation include: targets and strategies to accelerate social forestry management; increasing the development of forestry social business; increasing the productivity of social forestry area through: agroforestry, livestock farming, ecotourism; enhancement of capacity building; creation of local working groups; development of social forestry information system; monitoring and evaluation; special fund for implementing the social forestry management. The attachment includes a list of measures, strategies, programmes and activities to accelerate the implementation of social forestry management.
