Abstract
This Presidential Regulation, based on the provisions of the Law no. 39 of 1999 concerning Human Rights, provides for implementing a National Strategy for business and human rights, in order to promote, protect and respect human rights in business activities. The Regulation includes: obligations of Ministries, Institutions and Regional Governments to protect human rights in business activities; the responsibility of business actors to respect human rights; access to redress for victims of alleged human rights violations in business activities; special funds for implementing the National Strategy. The National Strategy, attached to this Regulation and covering the period 2023-2025, provides for: defining guidelines for Institutions to carry out planning, implementation and monitoring of business and human rights; defining guidelines for business actors and other stakeholders to increase respect of human rights.
