Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 16 of 2025 concerning the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil Certification System.

This Presidential Regulation establishes the sustainable palm oil certification system in Indonesia, as a business system for palm oil plantations, palm oil downstream industries, and palm oil bioenergy businesses that are socially, economically, and environmentally feasible. The Regulation defines the following relevant terms: Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil; palm oil plantation; downstream industry; bioenergy business; conformity assessment process certification for Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil. Matters covered by this Regulation include: certification requirements, applicable to both smallholders and companies; certification principles, including: compliance with good agricultural and plantation practices, environmental management and biodiversity conservation, community empowerment and social responsibility; certification process; penalties and offences; funding of the certification system; stakeholder participation.
