Abstract
This Ministerial Regulation, implementing provisions of article 84 paragraph (6) of the Presidential Regulation no. 98 of 2021, provides for defining structure and work procedures of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the carbon economic values, in order to achieve national contribution targets and the control of greenhouse gas emissions in national development. The Regulation concerns: national development contribution; carbon economic value, as the value for each unit of greenhouse gas emission resulting from human activities. The Regulation defines the Committee tasks, including: development of national and international cooperation on the issue of greenhouse gas emissions control; providing consideration to governmental agencies and local governments in determining the carbon economic value, in order to achieve the national development targets; coordinating mitigation and adaptation actions against climate change effects; drafting nationally determined contribution Strategies and Plans.
