Abstract
This Regulation, in order to implement the provisions of Article 135 of Law no. 11 of 2020 on Job Creation, provides for establishing the Land Bank as Indonesian legal entity empowered to guarantee the availability of land in the economic framework for public and social interests, economic equality, national development, land consolidation, agrarian reform. The Regulation defines the following duties and functions of Land Bank: land utilisation, land planning, land procurement, land acquisition, land management, land distribution. Further matters covered by this Regulation specify: the land planning activities, through long-term, mid-plan, and annual plans; origin of land resulting from government stipulation, including: abandoned land, land for reclamation, land without control; land management and development activities; control of land tenure, land utilisation and land value. The Regulation also concern: Land Bank asset and structure; Land Bank’s right over land, including right to build, use and cultivate; financial provisions.
