Abstract
This Regulation, consisting of 8 Chapters divided into 64 articles, establishes the Food safety inspection on plant origin fresh food import and export. This Regulation specifies the requirements to be satisfied in order to perform fresh food of plant origin (called PSAT) import and export, PSAT recognition and security laboratory test inspection and registration system. It also establishes procedural matters to issue, revoke or freeze any PSAT recognition of a country not complying with specific requirements, etc. PSAT security covers chemical and biological contamination, not exceeding the maximum limit, as specified in the Annex.
This Regulation is divided as follows: General provisions (I); Requirements of import and export (II); Recognition of inspection and registration system of PSAT safety laboratory analysis (III); Inspection on import and export (IV); Freeze and Revocation of PSAT Recognition and Safety Inspection System (V); Expenses (VI); Transitional Provision (VII) and Conclusion (VIII).
