Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number 19 of 2021 concerning Procedures for the Management of Non-Hazardous and Toxic Waste

This Ministerial Regulation, in order to implement the provisions of Article 450 and Article 470 letter a, letter b, letter c, letter d, and letter f of the Government Regulation no. 22 of 2021 concerning implementation of environmental protection and management, specifies measures for standardising the management of registered non-hazardous and toxic waste. The Regulation defines the following relevant terms: hazardous and toxic materials; hazardous and toxic waste; non-hazardous waste; waste reduction; waste collection; storage of waste; environmental approval. Matters covered by this Regulation include: registration of non-hazardous waste; measures for ensuring reduction of waste; reduction of emissions and improvement of wastewater quality standards; measures for ensuring storage of waste; utilisation of waste; disposal of non-hazardous waste; former mining areas used for waste collection; procedure for disposal of waste; groundwater contamination prevention and environmental monitoring of groundwater; transboundary movement of waste.
