Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number 27 of 2021 concerning the Environmental Quality Index

This Ministerial Regulation, implementing provisions of Article 489 letter b of the Government Regulation no. 22 of 2021 concerning Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management, provides for defining environmental quality index. The Regulation specifies the following terms: environmental quality index, as a value that describes environmental quality in a region at a certain time and includes water quality, air quality, land quality, sea quality, pollution indexes; water body. Matters covered by this Regulation include: governmental calculation of environmental quality index; planning of the process and data collection; locations for water quality monitoring: ponds, lakes, reservoirs; locations for monitoring ambient air quality; locations for monitoring sea water quality and important ecosystems; monitoring of forest areas for land quality index; parameters and criteria for defining index and quality; potential sources of marine pollution; financing measures.
