Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number 5 of 2022 concerning Wastewater Treatment for Mining Businesses Activities Using the Artificial Wetland Method.

This Ministerial Regulation, implementing provisions of article 162 letter b of the Government Regulation no. 22 of 2021 concerning implementation of environmental management and protection, provides for the management of wastewater processing activities and of mining activities, in order to reduce the burden of water pollution. The Regulation defines the following matters: wastewater treatment; standards for wastewater treatment technology; mining activities; artificial wetlands; business activities; standard classification; wastewater quality standards; environmental approval; domestic wastewater. The Regulation concerns: obligation of persons involved in mining business to carry out wastewater treatment; types of mining activity for which a wastewater treatment is requested; monitoring requirements; fulfilment of wastewater quality standards.
