Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia no. P.1/Menlhk/Setjen/Kum.1/1/2019 about Industrial Permits for Primary Processing of Forest Product (IUIPHH).

This Ministerial Regulation, consisting of 55 articles and implementing provisions of the Government Regulation No. 6/2007 on forest arrangement and formulation of forest management plan as well as forest exploitation, aims at providing convenience for business actors in managing business licenses and in conducting business. The Regulation concerns: timber and non-timber forest products and related business permits; forest industry; people’s forests; customary forests; harvesting waste; environmental permit; provincial forestry service branch. Matters covered by this Regulation include: procedure for applying for a licence, including forestry protection measures, wood-based bioenergy products, honey products, responsible authority, application requirements and procedure; fulfilment of commitments, including monitoring, procedure for submitting notifications; amendment of industrial permits, including the addition of new product varieties and the increase of raw material requirements; changes in product variety composition; validity period of business permit and related issues; rights, obligations and prohibitions of permit holders, including specific requirements for planting and seedling and carrying out activities that do not cause pollution, damage the environment, and exceed environmental quality standards. Final provisions concern administrative sanctions and repealing of previous Regulation on the same matter.
