Regulation of the Minister of Environment Number 7 of 2014 concerning Environmental Losses Due to Environmental Pollution and/or Damage.

This Ministerial Regulation, implementing provisions of article 90 paragraph 2 of the Law no. 32 of 2009 concerning environmental protection and management, provides guidelines for the governmental agencies involved in environmental issues in determining and calculating the amount of environmental losses. The Regulation concerns the following topics: environmental losses, as losses arising from pollution and/or damage to the environment; environmental pollution; environmental damage; environmental quality standards; environmental dispute resolution; Regional and Central environmental agencies. This Regulation concerns: losses due to exceeding the environmental quality standards as a result of not implementing all or part of the obligations for wastewater treatment, emissions, and management of hazardous and toxic waste; losses to replace the costs of implementing environmental dispute resolution; losses to replace the costs of mitigating environmental pollution damage, and of restoring the environment. The Regulation provides for calculation of environmental losses; determination of the impact of environmental loss. Attachments include guidelines for calculation of environmental losses due to pollution and environmental damage.
