Regulation of the State Minister of Environment No. 308/2005 on Implementation of Environmental Impact Analysis, Environmental Treatment Efforts, and Environmental Monitoring Efforts for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province and Nias Archipelago, North Sumatera Province.

This Regulation provides for the immediate recovering, through rehabilitation and reconstruction, of psychological conditions of the society, socio-economic conditions, and government administration of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province and Nias Archipelago, North Sumatera Province, which have been swept by the earthquake and tsunami of 2004. Regulations on Environmental Impact Analysis (AMDAL), Environmental Treatment Efforts (UKL), and Environmental Monitoring Efforts (UPL) shall be necessary for the reconstruction of the above provinces.
An AMDAL Evaluating Commission and a technical team shall be established to evaluate environmental impact analysis, and environmental treatment and monitoring plans (Chapter II). The procedures to be followed for an environmental impact analysis are defined in Chapter III. Environmental treatment and monitoring efforts shall be arranged before operating a project as provided for in Chapter IV. Chapter V deals with supervision and evaluation into the operation of environmental treatment and monitoring plans. The remaining Chapters contain provisions on funding, and closing provisions.
