Abstract
This Regulation of the Sukoharjo Regency, based on the provisions of Article 9 letter a of the Regulation of the Minister of Health no. 3 of 2014 concerning Community-Based Total Sanitation, provides for: implementing community-based total sanitation in the Regency; strengthening efforts for clean and healthy living behaviour; preventing the spread of environmental-based diseases; increasing access to safe food, drinking water and sanitation, improving quality of water from water sources. Matters covered by this Regulation include: implementation of guidelines for achieving hygienic and sanitary changes in the community’s behaviour; improvement of household waste management and disposal; strengthening measures aimed at reuse and recycle techniques; roles and responsibilities of regional and local authorities; monitoring and evaluation activity; classification and categories of villages according to the level of total sanitary conditions achieved.
