Abstract
These Regulations revoke the Abattoirs Act 1988 (Veterinary Examination and Health Mark) (No. 2) Regulations 2009 as a consequence of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 218/2014. That Regulation determines that emergency slaughter meat, which has successfully passed meat inspection, does not constitute a risk to public health and thus requirement for a special health mark and the restriction to the national market for such meat has been discontinued.
