Abstract
This Order is made under the Destructive Insects and Pests Acts 1958 and 1991 and provides for measures to be put in place to prevent the introduction of Thaumetopoea processionea (Oak Processionary Moth) into the Country. Landing or keeping this pest shall be prohibited unless authorised by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine. Importation of plants or trees of the Quercus species shall be notified and infected trees or plants shall be treated as directed by the Minister and the sale of such plant or tree product may be prohibited.
