Abstract
This Order provides for certain controls on the import of animal products as personal baggage and regulates “groupage” and similar practices in so far as they relate to animal products. A person shall not bring an animal product into the State, or cause or permit an animal product to be brought into the State, unless it is accompanied by a document containing as a minimum the requirements set out in article 3. A person may bring an animal product into the State as part of his or her personal baggage at the conditions laid down in article 7. “Animal product” means any thing totally or in part derived from an animal, whether cooked or uncooked, processed or unprocessed, other than heat treated milk products, ready to-wear-items of clothing, fully-processed confectionery (including bread), alcoholic drinks, wool and cosmetics or finished household items.
