Abstract
This Order gives effect to Commission Decision 2004/666/EC concerning certain protective measures with regard to live birds or avian products imported from Italy. A person, including the master or person in charge of a vessel or aircraft, shall not import a live bird from an area as describes in Annex 1 of the Commission Decision (“the vaccination area”) or that originates in the vaccination area or cause or permit another person to import a live bird that from the vaccination area or that originates in the vaccination area and person, including the master or person in charge of a vessel or aircraft, shall not import an avian product from Italy or cause or permit another person to import an avian product from Italy if it derived from poultry as described in Article 5 (1) (a), (b) or (c) of the Commission Decision (reg. 3). Certain exceptions are specified in regulation 9.
