European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Control on Imports from Ukraine) Regulations, 2005 (S.I. No. 908 of 2005).

This Order gives effect to Commission Decision 2005/883/EC concerning certain protective measures with regard to highly pathogenic avian influenza in Ukraine. Import of untreated feathers and parts of untreated feathers from the territory of the Ukraine from the territory of the Ukraine is prohibited. This does not apply to the import of processed feathers or parts of feathers where the commercial document accompanying the consignment states that the product has been treated with a steam current or by some other method ensuring that no pathogens are transmitted.
