European Communities (Cat and Dog Fur) (Restriction on Trade) Regulations 2008 (S.I. No. 513 of 2008).

These Regulations prohibit importation in or exportation from Northern Ireland of fur derived from a cat or dog or an article that consists of or contains fur derived from a cat or dog. They also prohibit the having in possession or control of fur derived from a cat or dog or any article that consists of or contains fur derived from a cat or dog. The Regulations furthermore provide for the appointment of authorized officers, specify powers of authorized officers and define offences.
