These Regulations amend the European Communities (Control of Organisms Harmful to Plants and Plant Products) Regulations 2004 so as to give effect to Commission Directive 2009/118/EC, which amends Council Directive 2000/29/EC. The Regulations provide measures to protect against the introduction into the Community of organisms harmful to plants or plant products and against their spread within the Community.
