Abstract
These Regulations give effect to European Union legislation on the testing of breeding flocks of domestic fowl for salmonella and on control measures if flocks are infected and provide for the approval of laboratories to conduct tests.
The owner or person in charge of a breeding flock shall ensure that samples are taken at a holding on which the flock is held in accordance with Part 1 of the Schedule to these Regulations and that each sample and record is dealt with in accordance with Part 2 of that Schedule. The Regulations prohibit operation of a laboratory for the purposes of these Regulations and the EC Regulations here implemented other than under and in accordance with an approval granted by the Minister.
