Abstract
These Regulations amend the European Communities (Environmental Liability) Regulations 2008 in relation Council Directive 2004/35/EC2 concerning environmental liability with regard to the prevention and remedying of environmental damage. The duty in relation to prevention and remedying of environmental damage as defined in the Directive should be applied to the operation of geological carbon dioxide storage sites.
