Abstract
These Regulations amend the European Communities Environmental Objectives (Groundwater) Regulations 2010 in regulations 4, 9, 10, 41, 43, 44, 48, 54 and Table 5 of Schedule 7 to clarify the transposition of Council Directive 2006/118/EC. The amendments to Regulations 9(b) 32, 39, 59 correct minor errors in the principal Regulations. The amendments mainly concern implementation of programmes of measures, prevention of pollution of groundwater, monitoring of groundwater quality and classification of groundwater.
