Abstract
These Regulations give effect to import restrictions imposed by the European Communities due to the existence of foot and mouth disease in Great Britain. They place restrictions on the importation of live animals of the bovine, ovine, caprine or porcine species or other biungulate and animal products from Great Britain. “Animal products” include meat and meat products, milk and other dairy products, semen, ova and embryos of prescribed animals, hides and skins and a variety of specific animal products. Imported products shall apply with certain standards and requirements prescribed by Community legislation.
