European Communities (Foreshore) Regulations 2009 (S.I. No. 404 of 2009).

These Regulations amend provisions of the Foreshore Act, inserted by subsequent legislation, insofar as they relate to applications under that Act and its amendments for consents which require an Environmental Impact Statement. In particular, these Regulations concern public participation arrangements and publication of certain information following the making of a decision on a relevant application.
Section 13A of the Act is amended by stipulating that a ‘relevant application’ does not include an application for an aquaculture licence (within the meaning of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act 1997) that is accompanied by an environmental impact statement.
