Abstract
These Regulations implement Community legislation laying down the principles governing the organization of veterinary checks on products entering the European Community from third countries. They prohibit importation of an agricultural product unless certain conditions are met and require the presentation of such products at an approved border inspection post for the purpose of official checking. They also provide for the appointment of authorised officers to implement the Regulations and for the prosecution of offences. "Agricultural Product" does not include fish and fishery products.
