The Regulations give effect to the provisions of Commission Directive 93/102/EC of 16 November, 1993 as amended by Commission Directive 95/42/EC. Categories of ingredients will now have to be designated according to the revised Annexes of Directive 93/102/EC. Trade in products not complying with the revised rules is prohibited. They also give effect to Commission Directive 94/54/E.
