Abstract
These Regulations implement Council Directive 92/66/EEC introducing Community measures for the control of Newcastle Disease and provide for the application of control measures in the event of an outbreak of the disease. Measures prescribed by these Regulations include: notification of the disease; restrictions on movement to and from premises on which disease is suspected; measures in case suspicion is confirmed; declaration of an infected place; establishment of protection and surveillance zones; cleansing and disinfection of premises on which disease exists; establishment of an infected area; vaccination of poultry; and special measures for pigeons.
