Abstract
These Regulations principally give effect to Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council by specifying the requirements and conditions for placing on the market and use of plant protection products and adjuvants and by providing for related controls. They also give effect to Regulation 1185/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning collection and provision of statistical information relating to the placing on the market and use of plant protection products.
The Regulations, among other things, provide with respect to: the authorization of the Minister to place a plant protection product on the market; trail permits; the Register of Plant Protection Products and Adjuvants; placing on the market of products and advertisement; measures of enforcement including issuing of compliance notes; and offences.
